Lando Norris Dazzles in Elkay Hunt’s Limited-Edition Bomber Jacket
McLaren driver Lando Norris has been turning heads at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit paddock ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix with his stylish £9,000 ($10,200) bomber jacket. This exclusive piece is one of only 25 ever produced by sustainable fashion brand Elkay Hunt.
The Sustainable Fashion Brand with Formula 1 Roots
The Africa Kilimanjaro bomber jacket worn by the 25-year-old racing sensation is a blend of pure silk and linen, hand-stitched with an African jungle design. Elkay Hunt, although new to the high-end fashion world, has an intriguing connection to Formula 1. The brand was co-founded by racing driver Freddie Hunt, son of the legendary 1976 F1 champion James Hunt. The collaboration between Hunt and fellow driver Lee Keshav resulted in this unique luxury brand.
During an appearance on the Track Limits podcast in 2024, Freddie Hunt opened up about his expansion into the fashion world, stating, “It’s a luxury brand. The jackets are very unique to the individual person. We might choose to make 10 or 20 of a certain piece, but we wouldn’t do any more than that. It’s all hand-embroidered, handcrafted stuff.
Despite leading the drivers’ championship, Norris has been candid about his recent challenges. In the team’s preview for the upcoming race, he expressed his excitement and determination: “I’m excited to head back to Jeddah for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this weekend. It’s a really fast track and we have a quick car, so we’ll be aiming to finish this triple-header strongly. I’m proud with how we’ve started the season. We’ve celebrated our success but also come together as a team to debrief and take away our learnings ahead of the next race. I’m feeling good and look forward to going racing again this weekend.
