Expert Advice for F1 Fantasy Players: Who to Pick for the Upcoming Race in Jeddah?

As the Formula 1 season heats up, the race for the top spots in the F1 Fantasy league is just as intense. Despite Oscar Piastri’s impressive win at the Bahrain Grand Prix, it’s Lando Norris who still leads the way. But with Piastri being a cheaper option, many players are considering the Australian as their pick for the upcoming race in Jeddah this Sunday.

Value for Money Drivers in F1 Fantasy 2025

The F1 Fantasy algorithm has listed Norris and Piastri as the second and third value for money drivers of the season, but it’s Oliver Bearman who continues to impress for Haas. With three consecutive points finishes under his belt, Bearman is currently the best value driver in the world of F1 Fantasy. He is also owned by 53% of players, with only Isack Hadjar having more ownership.

Since the start of the season, Bearman’s valuation has increased by $1.2million. With his impressive performance and affordable price tag, he is a popular choice among F1 Fantasy players.

Expert Strategies for the Jeddah Race

Filip Cleeran, the current best-performing journalist in the Race our Writers league, offers his advice for this weekend’s race. “I recently swapped out Norris for Piastri and that switch paid dividends in Bahrain,” says Cleeran. “Don’t get me wrong, I do back Norris to find his form again with the 2025 McLaren, but with Piastri being cheaper it makes the Aussie an easy pick.

Alongside Piastri and McLaren, Cleeran finds it difficult to fill the other slots due to budget constraints. For Jeddah, which is a vastly different circuit than Bahrain, he will be hedging his bets rather than going all in on Racing Bulls. He has switched from Alex Albon to his Williams colleague Carlos Sainz, giving him the budget headroom to both keep Pierre Gasly and draft in Esteban Ocon.

Mark Mann-Bryans, F1 business correspondent at Autosport, also shares his strategies for the upcoming race. “I was well up with the frontrunners after the first couple of races but have fallen off a cliff in terms of point scoring in recent rounds,” says Mann-Bryans. “I’m going to keep faith with Norris this weekend because I have a feeling that he knows he needs to deliver to shake off any questions surrounding him at the moment.

Despite Piastri being the man on form, Mann-Bryans believes Norris will be on the top step come Sunday night. He has dropped Fernando Alonso and replaced him with the upwardly mobile Bearman. His other change is bringing in Alpine to replace Racing Bulls as his constructor, although having Sauber as his second team is becoming a growing concern.
