McLaren‘s MCL39 appeared to be the car to beat, demonstrating superior performance both in qualifying trim and race pace. On the other hand, the RB21 continued to grapple with setup issues, a familiar struggle for the team on their opening day on track. Yet, the anticipated outcome was far from reality.

A stellar performance by Max Verstappen once again altered the course of the race, snatching victory from McLaren in what can only be described as a missed opportunity for the Woking team.
