McLaren Driver Oscar Piastri Commends Jack Doohan

In an interview with TODAY’s Karl Stefanovic, McLaren driver Oscar Piastri expressed his admiration for Jack Doohan, praising the Australian driver for making it to Formula 1 despite the challenges from his home country. The interview was released before Alpine officially confirmed that Piastri had replaced Doohan for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and beyond.

Alpine’s Driver Lineup Changes

In addition to the driver changes, team principal Oliver Oakes resigned from his role on May 6th. The team confirmed that they had accepted his resignation with immediate effect. Flavio Briatore, who had joined the team last summer as executive advisor, will take up Oakes’ responsibilities.
