Lando Norris Teases Tokyo-Inspired Video Ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix

As the Formula 1 circus gears up for the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, championship leader Lando Norris has shared an intriguing video teaser reminiscent of the short films Lewis Hamilton produces each time they visit Japan.

Channelling Tokyo Drift: Norris Embraces the Tradition Set by Seven-time World Champion Hamilton

Inspired by Hamilton’s viral videos, which began in 2022 when he navigated the neon-lit streets of Tokyo in a rented Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R, Norris appears to be following suit.

The original video showcased Hamilton weaving through traffic before performing donuts until his gearbox gave out, leaving smoke pouring from the transmission tunnel. Despite the controversy surrounding speeding and damage to the rental car, Hamilton continued the tradition the following year.

Hamilton’s Tokyo Adventures: A Sequel and More!

The sequel saw Hamilton in a Bayside Blue R34 against the backdrop of the Tokyo Tower, with the caption “JUST ANOTHER NIGHT IN TOKYO.” This year, Hamilton is once again teasing another video around the capital city.

Norris’s Tokyo Teaser and Strong F1 Season Performance

With a strong season underway, Norris leads the drivers’ standings with 44 points, eight more than Red Bull’s four-time champion Max Verstappen. McLaren has fought for back-to-back victories this season, with Norris commanding the season opener in Australia and teammate Oscar Piastri winning the Chinese campaign.

As the favorite for the Japanese Grand Prix, all eyes will be on Yuki Tsunoda as he makes his debut in the Red Bull car after replacing Liam Lawson. He’ll be eager to impress his home crowd.

Norris’s Tokyo Video Collaboration with Monster Energy and Quadrant

In a teaser for his upcoming video, Norris can be seen piloting a highly modified Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 alongside other customized cars. The Papaya driver grins intently as lights reflect off the externally mounted oil cooler on the front of the car.

This collaboration with sponsor Monster Energy and his own media company, Quadrant, promises an exciting addition to the Tokyo night ride tradition. Stay tuned for more updates!
