[Tua Tagovailoa and Oscar Piastri’s Heart-Pounding Ride in a McLaren 750S]

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa got an adrenaline rush like no other as he took a hot lap around the Miami International Autodrome in a McLaren 750S, driven by current Formula 1 championship leader Oscar Piastri. The exhilarating ride left even the seasoned NFL player awestruck!

[Tua Tagovailoa’s Impressive Drive Experience]

Known for his prowess on the football field, Tua Tagovailoa, who has been with the Miami Dolphins since 2020, was taken aback by the performance Piastri delivered behind the wheel of the supercar. “That boy drifting! That boy really knows how to do this!” he exclaimed as Piastri navigated the 19-turn circuit with precision.

With his contract extended in 2023 with a $212.1 million deal for four years, Tua Tagovailoa has been making headlines off the field lately, reportedly putting his Davie home up for sale for a whopping $3 million. But this weekend, he was all about the thrill of motorsport.

[The Power and Agility of the McLaren 750S]

The McLaren 750S is no slouch, even without an F1 driver at its helm. With a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 740 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, it’s capable of reaching 60mph in just 2.3 seconds and boasting a top speed of 206mph. Weighing only 3,206lbs, it’s agile on its tires too.

After the ride, Piastri told Tagovailoa, “I tried my best for you. I hope that was the fastest hot lap you ever had.

[Oscar Piastri’s Breakthrough Year]

This has been a breakout year for Piastri. After finishing fourth in the drivers’ standings last season, he’s now competing at the top as he heads into the Miami sprint race later today where he starts second on the grid.

Despite a minor setback during his hot lap – a lock-up into the last corner that cost him pole position – Piastri remains optimistic about his chances this weekend. “We can still fight from there in the Sprint tomorrow, so all in all, I’m pretty happy,” he said.

When asked if he feels he has a shot for a win this weekend, Piastri responded positively, expressing confidence in his team’s ability to unlock more pace and make up a spot during the Sprint race before fighting for the big points.
