Adidas Debuts Exclusive Race Day Collection for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team
George Russell and Kimi Antonelli made a fashionable entrance at the Miami Grand Prix, driving into Hard Rock Stadium in a convertible adorned with adidas’ new summer collection. The collection mirrored the livery of their racing car.
A Collection Inspired by Miami’s Mangroves
The rookie driver, seated in the passenger seat, wore the brand’s hero drivers jersey and black joggers, while Russell donned a t-shirt and beige trousers. This partnership between adidas and Mercedes was launched earlier this year, with the special collection being released swiftly thereafter.
The Miami drop was inspired by the region’s native mangroves, as reflected in the contemporary black graphic of leaves seen in the collection. Shades of coral and burgundy, also featured on the car’s unique livery, add a vibrant touch to the pieces.
Michael Batz, general manager of adidas’ motorsport category, expressed his team’s desire to “capture the essence of Miami in a fresh and unexpected way.” He further stated that the Miami Grand Prix, known for its blend of sport and style, was the perfect location to debut the first adidas x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 race day collection for Summer 2025.
Richard Sanders, chief commercial officer at Mercedes, mentioned that the deal with adidas was inked earlier this year to bring a fresh perspective to their team kit and merchandise offerings for fans. He praised the bold design of the first race-specific collection, which celebrates the natural roots of Miami.
The adidas x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Summer collection is now available for purchase from select adidas wholesale accounts and adidas.com/motorsport.
