Two-time Formula 1 champion, Fernando Alonso, encountered an unusual incident during the second practice session in Bahrain. Just two laps into the session, his steering wheel display went blank, and moments later, the wheel detached from the steering column.

The Steering Wheel Malfunction: A Closer Look

Over the team radio, Alonso exclaimed, “Change the steering wheel,” as he encountered a problem with the steering wheel that was switching off. Despite this unexpected incident, Alonso was able to get back out and complete the session, placing 15th fastest on the timesheet.
