**Piastri Sets Record in Miami Grand Prix Practice**

The much-anticipated Miami Grand Prix kicked off with a bang as McLaren‘s championship leader, Oscar Piastri, set the fastest time. However, the session was abruptly halted due to an incident involving Haas driver Oliver Bearman.

**A Tumultuous Start for Lando Norris**

Last year’s maiden winner, Lando Norris, experienced a rocky start when he reported some loose items in his car during the initial run.

**Verstappen Takes Charge on New Floor**

Fresh from celebrating the birth of his first child, world champion Max Verstappen quickly took charge, topping the timetables as he tested Red Bull’s new floor for the weekend.

**Russell Leads Early, Piastri Takes Over**

Mercedes driver George Russell led initially with a 1m28.488s on mediums, but Piastri eventually took over with a blistering 1m27.128s lap.

**Qualifying Simulations and Red Flag**

As the session progressed, drivers switched to soft tyres for qualifying simulations. However, an incident involving Bearman brought out a red flag, ending the session prematurely.

This left Leclerc and Verstappen in second and third respectively, followed by Sainz and Albon. Hadjar was sixth in the one-off magenta Racing Bulls car, ahead of Russell and Tsunoda. Antonelli and Alonso rounded out the top 10.

Unfortunately, the red flag denied Norris and Hamilton a more representative time. Stay tuned for updates on the Miami Grand Prix 2025 with expert analysis, exciting videos, stunning photos, and all the action from the track!
