Lewis Hamilton Expresses Frustration Following Saudi Arabian GP

Seven-time Formula One world champion, Lewis Hamilton, was far from pleased after finishing seventh in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. After the high of winning the sprint race in China last month, Hamilton admitted he needed a “brain transplant” to understand his new Ferrari F1 car.

Hamilton’s Struggles with New Team Continue

Despite his win in Shanghai, Hamilton has faced challenges adapting to his new team following his move from Mercedes over the winter. The British driver could not hide his disappointment when questioned about his performance in Saudi Arabia, where teammate Charles Leclerc finished third in the same car.

When asked if there were any positives he could take from his second stint after his tire stop, and whether he felt more comfortable, Hamilton replied bluntly, “No. There was not one second [I was comfortable].” He further explained that he couldn’t blame the car for his performance.

When pressed about why he was the only one struggling, Hamilton simply said, “No.” Meanwhile, Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur admitted that Hamilton might be finding it difficult to adjust to his new team.

Vasseur Offers Insight into Hamilton’s Adjustment Challenges

Speaking immediately after the race, Vasseur said, “I didn’t discuss with Lewis, but it was a bit up and down. It’s not that he was always off the pace, but let me discuss with him first.” He added that there were no problems, but Hamilton was struggling with confidence in the car and the newness of everything. Vasseur also mentioned that they struggled a little with the balance during the weekend, especially since Hamilton didn’t do a long stint on Friday. However, he remains optimistic for future performances.
