Leclerc Disappointed with Ferrari Car Performance Despite Strong Qualifying Result

Charles Leclerc expressed his dissatisfaction despite securing a strong fourth position in qualifying for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver told reporters, including Motorsport.com, that his SF-25 is not performing as he desires at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

Leclerc Struggles with Understeer and Oversteer Issues

Leclerc explained that he either experiences massive understeer or oversteer in the car, which prevents him from reproducing the performance of the drivers ahead. He emphasized that he is maximizing the car’s potential but lamented the significant gap between himself and the frontrunners.

The Monegasque driver feels comfortable in the car, stating that he has found the sweet spot that matches his driving style. However, Leclerc believes that the car’s potential is not yet at the level he desires.

Ferrari Upgrades Failed to Close the Gap

Leclerc expressed disappointment as the upgrades Ferrari brought to Jeddah did not help in closing the gap between him and the frontrunners. He noted that the upgrades do work, but unfortunately, it seems that other teams have made similar strides, which means the gap has remained unchanged.

Photos from the Saudi Arabian GP – Practice & Qualifying sessions show Leclerc battling with his car to find the right balance and secure a strong starting position for the race. Despite his dissatisfaction, Leclerc remains optimistic about his chances in the upcoming Grand Prix.
