Japanese Driver Launches Clothing Brand and Prepares for Red Bull Debut

Get ready for a whirlwind week as Yuki Tsunoda, the young Japanese driver, is set to make his debut with Red Bull in Formula 1 this weekend at his home country. But that’s not all – Tsunoda is also launching his new clothing brand, Venti Due, which will be available for fans to purchase online or at a pop-up store in Suzuka City.

The Launch of Venti Due Clothing Brand

Tsunoda’s first drop includes hoodies, crew necks, oversized jerseys, balloon pants, a canvas tote bag, and a beanie. The brand motif features the number 22, a maple leaf, and the slogan ‘fast on track, effortless in style.’ Some fans have even spotted a subtle ‘Y’ and ‘T’ in the leaf design. Japanese artist Jinya Yamakawa, who has previously collaborated with Tsunoda on his helmet designs, is part of the creative team for Venti Due (which translates to ’22’ in Italian). The release date for the first drop was initially set for March 31, but the exact launch date remains unclear.

As for his Formula 1 debut with Red Bull, Tsunoda has been preparing diligently after completing just four seasons at the energy drink giant’s junior team. Despite being initially turned down for the second seat for the 2025 season, he is now getting a chance to prove himself alongside four-time world champion, Max Verstappen. This opportunity came about due to Red Bull dropping Liam Lawson for poor performances less than three races into the season.

Tsunoda’s First Steps as Team Leader

This year marked Tsunoda’s first time stepping into a team leader role, partnering 20-year-old rookie Isack Hadjar for Australia and China. As the clear number one driver, he put in some impressive performances, finishing 16th in China and 12th in Australia, while also earning three championship points (compared to Lawson’s zero). This recognition from the higher-ups led to his quick, early-season promotion.

However, the second seat may come with some baggage. Only time will tell if Tsunoda can hold his own and potentially secure a longer tenure with Red Bull, avoiding the ‘cursed’ second Red Bull seat that has tripped up many of his predecessors.
