Haas F1 Unveils Cherry Blossom-Inspired Livery for Suzuka Race

Get ready for a breathtaking spectacle at the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix! The Haas F1 team has unveiled a stunning new livery, adorned with the iconic cherry blossoms of Japan. This beautiful pink livery, layered over the traditional 2025 livery of the American team, symbolizes the growing bond between Haas and the Land of the Rising Sun.

Cherry Blossom-Inspired Design for Suzuka Circuit

The VF-25 car has been transformed into a work of art, with a livery inspired by the enchanting beauty of the Sakura. This vibrant pink design will grace both cars throughout the weekend, making a striking contrast against the dark tarmac of the Suzuka circuit.

Beyond aesthetics, this change signifies a deepening relationship between Haas and Japan. Following a multi-year technical partnership with Toyota confirmed in October 2024, Toyota Gazoo Racing will now be working with Haas on design, technical, and manufacturing services. This collaboration under the leadership of new team principal Ayao Komatsu, born in Japan, is expected to bolster Haas’s capabilities.

Since Komatsu took over from Guenther Steiner last year, Haas has welcomed two new drivers, Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman. With this renewed vigor, the team currently holds sixth place in the constructors’ standings. As a result, the Japanese Grand Prix can be considered a home race for the team, despite its American ownership.

Drivers’ Excitement for the Japanese Grand Prix

Oliver Bearman expressed his enthusiasm about racing in Japan: “I’m really excited to race in Japan. The track looks fantastic and our partnership with Toyota GAZOO Racing it’s going to be a great event for the whole team. I was lucky enough to drive the Super Formula car around Suzuka, and that track comes alive. It was a great experience and the fans were fantastic.

Esteban Ocon is equally thrilled about returning to Japan: “I’m so happy to be back and race in Japan again this weekend. The fans here are incredible, always so passionate and knowledgeable about our sport. I’ve seen some very creative outfits over the years, and the people are always so kind with gifts and their support in general.

Ocon also shared his admiration for the Suzuka circuit: “In terms of the track itself, and I say this often, Suzuka is for me the best circuit on the calendar. There’s so much to like about this circuit, particularly the first sector, which is incredibly fast and flowing. You have to be really committed and precise in your driving, in qualifying especially, and that’s what makes it extra special and rewarding when you put in a good lap.

He further added, “I also love the history and old-school feel of the track and, when you add such fantastic fans, it really makes it a highlight of our season to race in Japan. I’ve had some good results here in the past, such as P4 in 2022, and we hope to be able to be in the mix to fight for another strong result this weekend and start this triple-header in a positive way.”
