Billionaire Lawrence Stroll’s Latest Acquisition: The Majestic Feadship Project 714
Lawrence Stroll, co-owner and executive chairman of Aston Martin and proprietor of its Formula 1 team, has recently invested in a new superyacht, the Feadship Project 714. Despite being a slight downsize from his previous 317-foot superyacht, the Project 714 is still an awe-inspiring 262-foot vessel, far from suitable for leisurely cruises on Dutch canals.
The Billionaire’s Superyacht Navigates Dutch Canals
Last week, Stroll’s superyacht made heads turn as it towered over buildings in the Dutch village of Alphen, skillfully navigating the narrow canals and passing under the Alphen Bridge. The tense maneuver had locals momentarily at a standstill as the vessel carefully squeezed through to reach open waters for its initial sea trials.
Feadship Project 714 Specifications
The 2,500 GT vessel is part of Feadship’s Advanced Electrical Drive (FAED) program. Boasting a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the overall length is 79.95m/262.4 feet, with an overall beam of 13.57m/44.6 feet. It has a fuel capacity of 240 m3 and fresh water capacity of 70 m3.
Upcoming Sea Trials and Delivery
Stroll’s Project 714 is expected to travel to Boskoop, Waddinxveen, Gouda, and Rotterdam next, where it will continue with its sea trials. It is anticipated that Stroll will take delivery of the Project 714 at the end of the year.
